A genuine fish restaurant in Verona since 2004.
The Antonio e Rita fish restaurant offers a natural cuisine: the fish arrives fresh, is cleaned, prepared and cooked with care and skill from start to finish.
All the products are chosen with the greatest care, and the lengthy menu is often further added to (dishes not on the menu are on the blackboard). These extra proposals depend on the availability of food on the market and seasonal freshness, so you can taste the widest range as well as special varieties of fish.
Apart from the typical Sicilian dishes, there are also the chef’s specialities: marinated fish, baked fish, bread, and desserts.
In the summer you can eat outside.
Born in Palermo, he specialises in Sicilian cuisine, with particular attention paid to the traditions of Palermo.
He began working for five years abroad and then worked in Italy for a further 15 years. This experience led him from Berlin to Vulcano (where he managed the Al Cratere restaurant) and allowed him to become extremely knowledgeable about all the qualities of fish and the ways of preparing them.
Rita, who is Neapolitan, organises the room hospitably.
She greets the guests, puts them at ease, explains the menu and gives advice.
Our dishes and their preparation.
Always fresh, searched out in various fish markets in Italy and abroad, and chosen for its particular qualities (for example, there are many kinds of tuna) in order to always propose an unusual and varied menu.
The restaurant exclusively offers a fish menu, but from time to time Antonio will propose an evening of delicatessen foods typical of Palermo, the so-called "picante" dishes: arancini, rollò, sfincioni, ravazzatine, pizzette, panelle, caponatina.
As a support for those symbols of Sicilian gastronomy, Cannoli and Cassate, there is excellent bread of many kinds and prepared with specially selected flours (Mulino Rosso, Molini del Ponte).
The wine list offers Italian wines, above all local and Sicilian products, with particular interest paid to natural wines.
